Cory Lancaster Award
From NABA
The Cory Lancaster Award is the premier award for pitchers in the North American Baseball Association. Once known as the Pitcher of the Year award, its name changed upon the death of legendary Chicago Barons pitcher Cory Lancaster, whose post-career depression and alcoholism led to liver failure in 1928. Every year, the best pitcher in both the American League and Continental League are given the award. The award is decided through vote from the Hall of Fame Committee, who are a mixture of retired players and journalists selected by the Commissioner's Board.
