The St. Louis Archers are an American professional baseball franchise based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are in the North American Baseball Association's American League, formed in 1976 and named after their city's famous Gateway Arch. The Archers have three playoff appearances since their formation, the most recent of which resulted in a championship in 2017. They currently play in Ford Field, a stadium built in 2001 and known for its distinct 3D art of a ford truck popping from over their bigscreen. Their original stadium, Nissen Park, was named after founder and longtime general manager Jim Nissen, who died of AIDS in 1989.
