Manuel Sanches (born October 21, 1986), often known monogamously as Manny, is an American professional baseball first baseman for the Nashville Blues of the North American Baseball Association. Considered one of the greatest players of his generation, Sanches has played most of his career with the California Grizzlies, where he played ten seasons in a row of without missing a game. In California, he was seen as an integral part of their new-millennium dynasty. He owns the NABA record for most games played at 3157 (as of 1/3/18) and most at-bats at 11534 (as of 1/3/18). In his career, he has amassed 740 home runs, leading the league four times, and 2444 runs batted-in, leading the league in 5 separate seasons.
Sanches appeared in every All-Star game from 1998 to 2010, with 16 appearances in total. He has been voted as Most Valuable Player 4 times in his career. He has amassed a career WAR of 139.9, second only behind Miguel Ojeda.
