The Columbus Explorers are an American professional baseball franchise based in Columbus, Ohio. They are in the North American Baseball Association's Continental League, and are one of the four 1990 Expansion teams in the league, having been formed alongside the Miami Blue Herons, Arizona Sidewinders, and the Portland Loggers. The team possesses 2 Bronze Pennants, though have never earned a playoff spot or title with more prestige. They have yet to reach the American Grand Finals.
The Explorers played at Safeway Park for 27 years, until their new park, Columbus Bank and Trust Field, was constructed. The park was announced two years prior in 2016, and was completed near the end of the 2017 North American Baseball Association season.
