The franchise began as the San Jose Athletics, where they stayed for 41 years until relocation. They are known for their Millenial Dynasty, representing one of the longest stretches of first-place finishes in NABA history from 2002 to 2011, winning 5 championships in this time. They are also known for an incredible amount of consecutive above-.500 seasons, their last losing season being in 1996, marking the streak at 21 consecutive seasons.
