The Arizona Sidewinders are an American professional baseball franchise based in Phoenix, Arizona. They are in the North American Baseball Association's American League, and are one of the four 1990 Expansion teams in the league, having been formed alongside the Columbus Explorers, Miami Blue Herons, and the Portland Loggers. They have played in Luloff Park for the entirety of their history, named after Phoenix businessman and founder of the franchise Ryan Luloff, who died before the team's incarnation of pancreatic cancer, 2 months before stadium building was commenced. The team has won one Golden pennant and one Silver pennant, and competed in the 2012 American Grand Finals, in which they lost to the Chicago Wind Sox 3 games to 4.
